NickGen is a focused, single-purpose tool: it helps you create a stylish Blood Strike name and copy special characters, spaces and symbols that work in the game. Type a name on the NickGen homepage and you’ll see it rendered in many Unicode styles with one-tap copy buttons — reliable styles first.

We deliberately do one thing well. NickGen isn’t a generic “aesthetic nickname” site trying to cover every game at once — it’s specialised for Blood Strike players who want a name that pastes correctly the first time.

Built by one developer

NickGen is made by Hoàng Dương Dũng (Dung Hoang), a front-end developer and long-time gamer based in Ho Chi Minh City. He studied programming at Vietnam National University (VNU-HCM) and has 5+ years of experience building web interfaces, including a role as a gaming-platform developer at YGame — where he saw how much players care about their in-game identity.

He writes the code, plays Blood Strike, and tests every name style in the game himself. You can verify him on Facebook or his public LinkedIn profile.

How the generator works

When you type a name, NickGen maps each letter to its Unicode equivalents — bold, small caps, gothic, and decorated variants — entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Because these are Unicode characters and not real fonts, the game displays them with its own system font, so results vary by game and device. That’s why we test in Blood Strike directly and rank the reliable styles first.

Ranking those styles is not a matter of taste. Every character we offer is checked against the Unicode Character Database first, because two documented properties decide whether a style survives: its general category and what NFKC normalisation does to it. Bold letters live in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block and NFKC maps them straight back to plain ASCII — 𝗔 (U+1D5D4) becomes A — so the styling disappears anywhere input is normalised. Small capitals such as ᴀ (U+1D00) carry no such mapping and come through untouched. Anyone can confirm this in the official Unicode charts; the founder’s page sets out the full reference table behind the generator.
