Heart symbols

Heart symbols such as ♡ and ❥ make a nickname look cute or romantic; the outline heart ♡ is the safest because it is plain text, not a colour emoji.

Star symbols

Star symbols such as ★, ✦ and ⋆ add sparkle; a star on each side of a name is the most copied look.

Crown and royal symbols

Crown symbols such as ♛ and ♔ give a royal or king-and-queen feel; ♛ is the one most phones draw without trouble.

Picking symbols for one game in particular? The Blood Strike special characters page lists the symbols tested in the Blood Strike name field, grouped by how reliably they display.

Arrow symbols

Arrow symbols such as ➳ and ➤ point to a name or split a clan tag from the player name.

Brackets and frames

Brackets and frames such as 『』 and ꧁꧂ wrap a name on both sides; put the name between the two halves.

Infinity symbol text

The infinity symbol ∞ is plain text and copies everywhere; ♾️ is the colour emoji version, which some games remove.

Skulls, blades and dark symbols

Skulls, blades and crosses such as ☠, ⚔ and ✞ suit dark or tryhard names in shooters.

Flower and cute symbols

Flower and cute symbols such as ✿ and ❀ suit soft, aesthetic names and bios.

Emoji to pair with symbols

Colour emoji look great in bios and chats, but many game name filters remove them, so pair them with a plain symbol in the name and keep the emoji for your profile.

Frame your name: 20 examples

These examples wrap one name in different letter styles and symbols, so you can see a combination before you build your own in the generator at the top.

Which symbols work in which game

Each game runs its own name filter, so the same symbol can work in one game and vanish in another. The table sums up what NickGen and official or community sources report, with dates.

For a name that only uses safe symbols, keep to one symbol per side and avoid long stacked combinations. If a symbol shows as an empty box on your phone, the font is missing that character, not the symbol itself.

FAQ

What are the best nickname symbols?

The most copied nickname symbols are ★, ♡, ♛, ✦ and frames like ꧁꧂ and 『』. They are plain text, so they work in more games than colour emoji.

What symbols suit a boy’s nickname?

Crowns ♛, skulls ☠, blades ⚔ and arrows ➳ give a strong look; one on each side, like ☠Nick☠, is enough.

What symbols suit a girl’s nickname?

Hearts ♡, flowers ✿, stars ✦ and bows ୨୧ give a soft look, for example ♡Luna♡ or ✿Mira.

How do I type the infinity symbol?

Copy ∞ from the infinity section above. On Windows you can also hold Alt and type 236 on the number pad; the colour version ♾️ is an emoji and some games remove it.
