Hey there, I’m Dũng Hoàng.
Have you ever spent hours racking your brain for a cool gaming nickname, or a unique username for Facebook or TikTok that isn’t already taken? It’s exhausting, right?
As a coder, I kept asking myself, “Why isn’t there a tool that makes this faster?” I tried a few sites, but they were slow, the interfaces were cluttered, and the suggestions all felt a bit generic.
And just like that, the idea for NickGen.com was born.
From an Idea to the First Lines of Code
I’m not a big corporation, and there’s no huge team behind NickGen.com. It’s just me, a freelance developer in Saigon, with my laptop and a desire to build something genuinely useful.
With over 5 years of experience building websites and apps, especially my time working on user interfaces (UI) at MISA and a gaming portal at YGame, I learned that a great tool has to be fast, simple, and get straight to the point.
I hand-coded every part of NickGen.com, optimizing every millisecond of loading time and trying to make every feature—from name generation and symbol decoration to the font converter—as smooth as possible. This is a passion project, a “homegrown” tool built from my own late nights and hard work.
My goal is simple: To save you time and help you find a name you love, instantly.
